Marcellu
Sideboard
The MARCELLU sideboard is a study in monolithic volume and material transition. Part of our Design Studio Collection, the piece is characterized by its expansive oak body, which features a soft vertical grain and a unique, chamfered corner that provides an architectural “cut” to its rectilinear form. The design is defined by its striking asymmetrical balance: one end of the oak cabinet terminates into a substantial, semi-cylindrical pillar of cream travertine. This heavy stone element appears to cradle the wooden volume, while a matching recessed travertine plinth creates a shadow gap at the base, making the entire structure appear to hover just above the floor. The MARCELLU balances the organic warmth of timber with the permanent, tectonic presence of natural stone, offering a refined focal point for contemporary dining and gallery spaces.
